D, I really would not be bothered by the one inch loss, unless you are into roadcourse driving, but to keep the handling at it's best, you need to reduce the tire width apportionally. Be carefull when you do this as a reduced width number on the tire will also bring down the highth of the tire, so you will have to go up on the aspect ratio, but don't raise it as to having the tire more than 1/4 inch taller overall, don't want a big foot look in the front. I noticed you use the tire rack size chart. It's priceless. Don't worry about the weight carring capacity loss, as you will be going non run-flats. Conventional tires have about 250 more weight carring capacity over the run-flat, so no problem there.
D, the oem size tire would fit easilly on 9 inch rim, but the tire would bulge out on the sides and handle very poorly, not to mention look badly in the front.
The car will handle very well if you keep the tire to wheel width ratio as it is, (tire is narrower than the rim) and it really looks good on the front.
Now have you checked the offset of this wheel, compared to the oem wheel. You better hope it's not inward as the oem wheel actually sits inward from the fender more than I like. My SSR Comp wheels are half an inch out over the oem wheel, and it looks great, but any more than that starts looking, well you know what I mean.
By the way, those wheels look great. How much doe's the wheel alone weigh, front and rear?

ps, the rotational weight reduction will be a bonus to this wrong size wheel and tire, and how wide are the front tires and wheels on a ZO6, I don't think they are near 10 inches.
