Love the RT/10's. CAN'T stand looking up and seeing clouds and thinking "Crap, should I pull over now or can I make it home?" I was stranded in drive throughs , etc countless times when I didn't think I needed my top. (it rains about everyday in FL in selected city blocks)

Got tired of taking top on and off (factory soft top is just horrible w/ the zipper windows, etc)

My RT/10 would leak like a bucket with holes

It's very hot in FL and got so sweaty when I stopped at a light, it would look like I just got out of the shower with my clothes on.

When I WOULD carry the soft top, I had absolutley no space in the trunk for anything else. That got VERY annoying.

I love car stereos and you CAN'T make an RT/10 sound killer with the top off.

The GTS covered all the shortfalls of the RT/10 IMO. And to see a striped GTS coming down the road is priceless!

I totally agree with Gerald!! I loved my 94, but the GTS (really Gen II) has some major advantages. If the top was not such a pain...... Maybe this will change with the SRT and it's new top!

I have had the pleasure of owning all 3 of the current Vipers.
95 RT/10 , 98 GTS , 2000 RT/10. In that group I still own the
98 GTS. Even though I thought the new windows and hardtop were
going to make me happier in the 2000. It wasn't ment to be.
A. Hardtop was great for long trips but, couldn't leave it off
anywhere unless the soft top was in the trunk.
B. That D*MN soft top assembly(need I say more}.
C. Still not a full unobstructed all around convertible.
D. As others here in Fla said you can't get the top assembled
fast enough in the rain,so you can't leave it open unless
you are under shelter.
So as the day of delivery gets closer, the SRT/10 is appealing
to me more.It has everything the other RT's don't. And though
not as stylish I would rather have it than my other RT's.

Lastly the GTS stays .

My 1st was a 94 RT/10, 2nd was a 96 GTS, 3rd was a 2000 RT/10, 4th was a 2001 GTS ACR, 5th is a 2002 GTS ACR and 6th will be a 2003 SRT/10. I say try them all until one fits.
