How many of you guys have rock chips behind the front tires right in the side wheel well but in the red area? I went to get my Corsa Track installed today and the mechanic pointed it out to me so I dont' think they did it and the paint is really badly chipping there with only 400 miles on the car! What do you guys recommend? I ordered touch up paint. Do you think I should layer a few coats of wax? Would that help? I'm really disappointed about this. The vette does not have any chips there and it gets driven a lot more and through the same roads!

On another note the Corsa Track I ordered was sent to be working with random tech high flow cats...I decided not to do the cats but seems like the Corsa won't fit without them (3" vs 2.5") So the mechanic had to put the entire old system back on...what a waste of labor $$$. The random techs should ship out on Monday now and be here a week after.

After 300 miles I put the armorall protective film. I had the company come to the house to do it. I have a white Mamaba and have to work constantly from preventing a yellow type stain that appears over the film where the sill abuts the black plastic vents. This is heat generated. This film has mimized any road nicks to the sill and back fender. I worry about heat generated discoloring on White. I do not know if I would do it again. There are many paints such as "Standox" a German paint used on Mercedes and Porsche which are excellent for road chip. It would be more cost effective to have the sills repainted by a high end shop once the chips become too visible.

I read where someone had the "Clearbra" product applied to the area. I am unfamiliar how it is attached and I also recall the same product was used to prevent rock chips on the lower front of the body. Clearbra can be accessed on the web.

Mine are from small little rocks hitting the quater panel or whatever. Its pretty bad when you look at it. Looks like an army of little pebbles attacked it. Theres some construction going on around my house so I think its from that! ***** big time.

I used a product I found on Eckler's site www.ecklers.com it adheres by static electricity and is reusable. Its called cleartastic. its great you can take it off to wash and wax your car and then put it back on.

I had A guy cut 3M's Xpel and apply it to all areas that could get chipped up from stones. He covered the inside painted areas of the wheel wells, behind the rear wheels, the entire length of the exhaust sills and even the door handles. He also applied it to the entire front of the car. It's awesome!

Cleaver:
You did not specify your color; but putting on the front fascia and bumpers on the White Mamba causes a black line over a period of time where road dust clings to. Does not look good. I prefer the static cling clear plastic sheets.

I put on the random cats and Corsa track exhuast. I have yet to raod test it but the fit was pretty good. I did have to cut 3/4" off the cat on the passenger side to get the clearance I needed at the tip. I wonder why that was?
