Anyone using the High Flow Oval or Round Cats from Roe Racing with stock side exhaust mufflers on Gen I? Please provide comments on installation, sound and heat improvements? Any issues with O2 sensors?

Thanks!!

I am not much help, but I have the ovals on my Gen II and once we got them positioned properly they worked out great. Rounds are definetly an easier fit in the sills.

While on the exhaust subject....

I plan to go with R/T round cats and keep my rear center muffler.
Is there any muffler to put on down from the cats that will give me any better sound with the stock center muffler?

Will I then have the dreaded drone?
Thanks

i went with Randomtech substrate cats and love them!
sidesills are nowhere near hot more like lukewarm.

and i added the B&B catback.
I would not go rear stock muffler.

good luck

Are you considering the replacement of just the cats? If you're going through the trouble, you should go ahead and replace the mufflers too. I put Sean's oval high-flow cats on along with Belanger headers and cat-back, and I love it. Side sills are cool now instead of leg-blistering hot.

Just talked to a guy that put on the ovals and he claims it is a "very tight fit". Aside from the few horsepower gains over the ovals, what other advantage does the ovals offer vs. the rounds?

thanks for all the feedback! :usa:
