I think a 6.5lb pulley is more ideal for a creampuff with water/****. Gives a little more safety incase boost creep is an issue.

Hey D, I think it accelerates the whatchamacaulit with the internal thing-a-ma-bob so that it restablizes the actaull effect of what it is trying to do.

My 1st post, Roe Water/**** Question

Hi Guys,
I am new to the forum, but have experience with water injection. Water injection has been around for many years and was used in airplane motors in WWII and probably WWI. It cools the intake charge just as an intercooler does, and that is why it is a big help on the Roe SC. Since the Roe SC is a screw type and sits on top of the motor there is no place for an intercooler. The lower the combustion chamber temperature the less octane you need to avoid detonation. The higher the combustion chamber temperature the more likely you are to have detonation. The water injection is not going to help when the temperature outside is 35 degrees, but will be an incredible help on a hot summer day.

There are two trains of thought with water injection. You can tune with it or without it. If you tune with it and you don't pay attention to your water supply and run out, or your nozzles get stopped up on a hot summer day you could do damage. This is because you were more agressive with timing. If you tune without it and then turn it on, you will always have a good condtion for making horsepower, but if you run out of water you will not hurt your motor. The downside is you won't dyno as much hp, but the upside is you have added a lot of insurance. This will also help if you get gas that is not up to your original tune.

I have a G35 Coupe that is supercharged with an ATI Procharger and an intercooler. I also run Water on it as a safety. My hp with and without it are pretty much the same, and my A/F is not affected. It has cast pistons like my 01 yellow cream puff. My boost is 7.8 psi. I just bought my first Viper and it has the Roe SC with 5psi of boost and but I am also going to 6.5. It has Belenger headers, and Corsa 3" cat back exhaust. I will probably tune it agressive without water but then turn on the pump for safety. If the water injection goes out for any reason I am covered.

I am really excited about owning my first Viper. It is really a blast. I am also adding roller rockers. :headbang: Someone was looking for Methanol. If you can find your local go car racers, they use methanol for racing. I buy mine at local go cart races for about $20.00 for 5gal including the can.

I look forward to learning a lot about Vipers here on the boards. I recently spoke with 1Tony1 and he gave me some real education about my car.

Take care,
BLWNV10

I am also trying to decide on a prestige tag for my car, 7 letters and spaces. Do you like BLWNV10?, or Z06THIS?
