hi guys, i'm interested in a roll bar for my GTS, just for added safety and peace of mind

i don't plan on ******** road racing or making a 10 sec car.

i just want a roll bar, no side bars.

Can you post up your recommendations on a clean roll bar installs, and also which roll bar vendors you like and the price?

thanks

Are you prepared to lower your seat? There is not a lot of clearance with the stock seat location, and it becomes a real safety issue when just about any type of cage is installed. Just make sure you are not creating a more dangerous situation that might affect a "piece of your mind".

Hello,

Take a look at our roll bars for GTS Vipers on our website at the link below. We can manufacture one for you without the sidebar brackets if required.

Our bar provides plenty of head room and your factory seat travel is not inhibited in any direction, regardless of seat lowering system installation or not.

Thanks in advance for checking with us.

Check out the rollbar by Autoform. I had one installed recently in my 2001 GTS ACR and it fits great, looks very strong, and offers very little in the way of blocked visibility. My seats go all the way back too.
You can buy it through Jon at PartsRack, as I did, for a better price, etc.
Good luck.

Visit Valaya Automotive in San Jose. Ted May has cars there with BTR, Autoform and custom bars.

I would give serious consideration to Sonny's advice. Lining the cockpit with steel tubing presents quite a hazard to flailing limbs or your unhelmeted head. I chose to go without because a properly padded bar is simply too intrusive for daily driving.

If you do choose to go with an Autoform bar, contact WCKD VPR. He has one he no longer needs.

I have had the BTR roll bar installed for about one year. You don't know it is there and it does not interfere with any driving/racing functions and it fit perfect. If you take your time it takes about a day to install, that also includes the five points.
