Just a little OT (snake pit?), just doing some research on the rotatry motors (wankel/mazda production models). I rember reading about the engine therory when I was younger. After seeing a 93 RX-7 today, my interest sparked again in the rotaries.

This is some pretty cool stuff! No valve.. no pistons (well..not like ours anyway). 235bhp from something around 1.2 liters!? Very cool stuff. Reading about the early engine design and the mechanics involved.

If you guys are board, read about this stuff... quite interesting!

Rotaries are really bad on mpg and repair costs though
... right? The last I heard if you did anything bad to
the motor you're best to just replace the entire
thing. Am I wrong?
