Are the rotors on the 08 cross drilled? I saw an 08 Vette with the Z51 pkg w/ cross drills and they had a nice aftermkt look.

Nope. It is hard to improve upon the stock setup. I debated about changing the rotors but seemed silly to spend the money just for the look.

Drilled rotors usually crack under the stress of heavy track braking.

Slotted tend to be much better.

Hard to beat the stockers for the price.

How much for slotted or preferably drilled rotors. It really spices up the look, saw a srt with drilled, and I loved it.

You can search this site but I think you are going to pay roughly $1200 to $1500 for a set of 4.

slots and drilled are for de-gassing/gassing off the layer of gas that forms on hard braking, between the pad and rotor. drilled are a poser mod and prone to stress cracks, slots are a better compromise. the GTS-R racers that one LeMans and Daytona had solid rotors. If you must mod them go with two-piece with alum hats to loose weight(unsprung) to improve suspension workings. otherwise like mentioned above stock are hard to beat. BTW use the search feature many previous threads on just this subject and some have pics of fractured/stress cracked drilled rotors

I have an entire collection of cracked "cross-drilled" rotors in my garden house.

I didn`t throw them away because I want to make some sort of trophy with them.
They look nice but that`s it. Above 150mph they are useless. You even loose breaking power ....

I had EBC rotors but didn't like the way they started showing rust.

"StopTech has incorporated several design innovations to improve rotor airflow, cooling and heat capacity. The ability to absorb and dissipate heat is essential to brake system performance. The uniquely designed vanes inside the disc optimize airflow through the rotor. This improved directional design minimizes turbulence and flows more air than any rotor tested. Better Airflow means better cooling and less fade. AeroRotors are available either drilled or slotted."

StopTech Rotors are great as is the added stopping power. The AeroRotors save nearly 10lbs of rotating mass per wheel utilizing a two-piece hat design. I do have stock rotors for sale should someone be looking for an extra set.
