OK. Who got the pics of Roy's trailer? I saw the mention of it in Viper Magazine and I see the corner of it in the photo, but where is the good pics of it?

Anyone?

It's definitely a Roy Sjoberg custom piece made from the front and the back of a Viper. I think he told me there were 2 of them made. ....Never a production piece to my knowledge.

Cool item, but I have a problem with it. There needs to some kind of module - an accessory - that connects your brain to your foot when using it.

I was thinking the same thing although I wouldn't want to be the car he's racing against...and lose. Imagine getting spanked by a Viper towing a trailer like that?!?! :omg:

Roy passed me with that trailer after the above event at around 90 MPH. It didn't move an inch behind him. It 'tracks' quite well at speed......at least it did that day. Didn't seem to bother his wife at all, who was riding shotgun.

It figures it would be the Father of the Viper that designed that! I've got video of it from VOI 9 in the parking structure, I was always wondering who was so creative. I guess I know now!

A custom receiver is actually not difficult to fabricate if the trailer is light (you can get a trailer, 4 tires, tool box, jack to total ~400 lbs). It hides nicely in the faux grill in the rea fascia.

(Dave, more rain drops on the trunk :crazy2:)

And I'm not the only one that did it...

Be prepared that you'll need the special box to convert yellow taillight blinking on Viper to red taillight blinking on the trailer.

This must be Roy again. Looking at pix above, he didn't use 6 lug Viper wheels.

would you??? Consider the cost and the size. You would have to give up so much room it wouldn't really be worth having a trailer. But put me on the list of wackos that would buy one if they made it, but maybe a little higher off the ground, not sure how you would go up a driveway with that.

That's TWO front fascias you'll need to repaint every couple years. :D

Sure I would! If the car had a flat on a long trip, you could take a tire off the trailer and not drive on a teeny spare. Put the skinny spare on the trailer if you didn't want to leave it and you could continue forever since the trailer isn't as heavy as the car. I already have spare rims so it's one less size to have to get. And you already gained 400% more room with the trailer over the trunk, so space shouldn't be an issue.
