Ryan, the only problem with doing that on your car is the pipe is right by your head. I have the 96 Gen I, but has the rear exhaust, easier to take. Unless your willing to use ear plugs, I would go with Random cats and Dynomax Ultra Flows. That would sound awesome. I run Ultra Flows only. When me and Chad get together again at *******, you'll be able to hear my car, see ya.

Hey Ryan,
I would put in either the Sean Roe high flow cats or the Randoms and the ultra flows. Only because the exhaust is right by your ear, just don't want it that loud, you'll be deaf before you know it :( . Have to see what the weater going to look like. I just can't seem to bring myself to put my top on :D

Just finished doing the installation of Borla headers and Belanger 3 inch cat back exhaust san catalyst. Sounds great. Not enough experience yet but it seems to have less of the drone the previous exhaust had (2 1/2 inch log walker muffler replacing the original muffler and cat).

Now it is on to the SRT and make its bark like its bite!

I have taken out my cats on my 94 Rt10 and it sounds a little better and no drone to speak of with or without the roof on. There is a definite increase in power in doing this. There is no problem pulling on stock GTS’s to 100+ mph. Prior to me dropping my Cats both GTS’s that I have run with would slowly pull on me.

I’m now in the process of dropping my factory mufflers as they appear to taper off from 2 ½” down to around 1 ¾” id. I’m looking into having 1 long muffler with a 40” body, 2 ½” in & out on a 5 ½” body manufactured. I really don’t want any more noise but I do want the flow.

If I’m able to pull this together for a reasonable price and I’m satisfied with it I’ll keep every one in the loop.

I have a 95 RT. I recently replaced the stock exhaust with the Roe Racing (Sean Roe) 2 1/2" high flow cat and muffler system he sells as a complete unit. Entire system is stainless with quality welds and workmanship. Install is very easy. I just needed to have the system welded where it joins the stock pipe ahead of the cat to eliminate minor exhaust leaks. SOUND IS AWESOME, definite increase in power. Absolutely no side sill heat coming into the foot well, even after extended driving. I recommend this setup highly for Gen I's!! :usa:
