I really want to do something about the side curtains on my Viper and I want to hear any problems owners of Vipermania windows may have had. I've done plenty of searches and have read mostly good things, but I wanted to check on long term durability and overall satisfaction with these windows. At $1100, I want to be sure they're exactly what I want.

I have had them for about 5 years and very happy. I have the optional sliders, which are no longer necessary (installed poppers later). Overall this is what should have come from the factory.

Nice windows, well constructed...but....like Jeff said, rough talking to anyone with the small sliding window and the top on.

I bought a set with sliders for my '95 RT. I love them. They look great, I have never taken them off. They are straight along the top edge, so you had better not have warped top side rails....

Hate to be the lone dissenter here - but based on all the positive things that people have said - I had expected better. They look a lot better than the stock windows, but the fit (at least for my 93) was far less than perfect. Mine are nowhere near airtight or watertight. Would definitely like to have seen them side by side with the Northwinds. I tried to work things out with Vmania but got frustrated after sending one window back with virtually nothing being done to fix the situation and gave up. Good Luck!

Thanks for all of the Kind Words guys!!!Rocket62 and Roadkill, please contact me with your problems!!!..I'm sure we can figure something out??... Not to mention our "Satisfaction Guarantee"??.."If you weren't happy why didn't you send them back for a refund??? In the 7 years that we've been selling these windows (approx. 700 sets) I can only remember 2 sets that we weren't able to get installed correctly, both were early 93's. Sometimes installing them in another persons Viper will help as this allows "another" set of hands to install them.

FYI... the Northwind windows are/were made by my partner, he decided to quit making them due to the popularity and "fit" of the Vipermanias.

I'll drop you an email Biff, I didn't contact you about them because I wasn't the original purchaser. I'm not complaining on this thread, just saying i had sealing problems. It would be great if i could resolve it! :2tu:

I had purchased another set of windows (used) made by a different company. I thought they were pretty good until I saw a set of Vmania windows. Had to have them. Sold the others and upgraded to VMania. Haven't looked back since! After seeing one of their tops (no taking off sport cap pad to install), I traded my Mopar top for one of them too.

I had V-mania windows on my 95 (since sold). They were great, as is Biff's service. If you are buying windows or a top for a Gen 1 with the thought it will make your car leak - proof, you are deluding yourself--ain't gonna happen. The reason to get Biff's windows is because they look much better and are much more practical than those awful curtains. It was one of the best after market purchases I made on my 95. TERRY

Thanks a lot for all the input guys. I've pretty much made my mind up to get the VM windows. I'm not at all concerned with making the car leak proof. It's parked in tha garage 99% of the time and I only plan on driving it on sunny days. These God awful ugly side curtains must go.

Windows came tinted like that. I don't know if there are different levels of tint. I think mine work perfectly.. dark enough yet not so dark that it impedes night driving.

Well, I bit the bullet today and ordered the tinted VM windows! Biff said they should ship out sometime next week. Can't wait to get them on! Now, what I need to do is find someone local that had the VM hardtop so I can look at it's construction, fit and finish because that's probably going to be my next "big" purchase. So, anoyone local to central PA with the VM hardtop want to invite a complete stranger to their house to see their top? hahaha

A set of factory side curtains without the rear screw went for $215 last night on ebay. I have no idea if they're worth more than that or not. I'm going to hang onto mine. I don't think you'd want mine anyway. The plastic has a weird hazy look to it.

Nat,

I just got my VMania windows and they are GREAT! Biff did a fantastic job building them and they are beautiful. Also, I know of a new hardtop coming to market in a couple of weeks that it totally different than anything available now. I am not allowed to talk about it at this point but I can tell you it is definately worth waiting a couple of weeks to add it to your hard top decision list.

My 95 had them installed with original owner, I still have them here in NY and they work great. Just keep thm clean with plexiglass cleaner not windex etc.

PS Vmania boys are solid people.

Can you say who's bringing it to market so we can keep our eyes out?

The top is made by A.P. Engineering and I can tell you it is STRIKINGLY different. I can also tell you it is ALOT more than a pretty face. I will probably be introduced on this forum this weekend.
