I purchased a new seal for my 01 RT/10 rear window. McMaster Carr part # 12335A421. I bought 20 feet of it so I'd have extra if I messed up. Well the new one went on easily and looks brand new. I have 11 feet left over.

If anyone wants the left over I'll pay for the shipping. Just paypal me 20 bucks and I'll send it to you. You really only need 9 feet to do one window.

Can we get a close up picture of how well that seal goes around
the bottom corner of the window. Thanks.

Ugh.....can someone go into the photo gallery and make those look better/bigger. They looked a lot more in focus on my computer.

Hang onto it. I'm in Tampa and if we meet up sometime I'll take it off your hands. Just bring it to one of our VCA events.

Chuck, I had a couple of folks hit me up on PM...just before you posted.

If you want to, order up 10 feet worth of rubber, part # 12335A421 on McMaster-Carr

I paid with a CC and had it in 2 days.

I'll come down and help you put the new one on if you want.

Nathan

Do you still have the 11"? If not, what is the name of the site to purchase the seal? I have a 98. Will it work for this>?

you give the part number, but when you got to their site, dozens of different seals come up. What individual STYLE did you buy? Thank you.

Oh man this is an old thread I started years ago, as you can see my screen name is different now too. But I got that rubber from mcmaster carrs website. It held up nicely my window still looks new. Ive moved a bunch of times since then so I dont think I have the extra I had or I may have given it away at some point. I dont it was too expensive though.

I have a 98 rt, and like so many others, I had to replace the weather seal. It took about three hours to get the old seal off, and wasn't that bad. Used a straight edge razor and was careful not to slice my finger off, and it came out perfectly clean. Applied the new seal, but as hard as I tried, it did not fully seal the bottom corners. And because I will never take the window out again, unless I have to because of a battery failure on my remote, I used GE black silicone, and filled in the small gap on both bottom sides. It cannot hurt the plastic, and can be easily removed, but it makes the seal and at least I can wash the car and not have to worry about leaks, or if I can caught in a downpour. Photos enclosed of the job.
