Am I crazy for opting for an RT over an ACR? The RT has 3,000 more miles and is about $4k less, but has about a year on a warranty.
Depends on what you want. The ACR's differences add up to something like an additional $10k initial new-car sticker that covers the adjustable shocks, performance oil-pan, multi-point belts, and some other minor changes as well as removing the radio and A/C (unless it was added back in by the buyer). If you don't plan to do anything that the shocks or oil pan would help with (e.g. road racing), or you don't care for the ACR's versions, then I'd go for the RT because of the warranty (but then, I personally prefer the roadster over the coupe also).
However..with the top off of the rt 10..well it's pretty close visually...But the top on..No contest..GTS all the wayy.
The ACR oil pan is exactly the same than the GTS/RT.
I think that some of the confusion come from the facts that early ACR brochures were making references to a special, competition type oil pan,but that was never put into production.
