Of all of you guys who have installed the hose set; who bothered to add the lower hose "Anti-Collapse" spring back into the Roe hose?

Reason I am asking is that I installed a set of hoses a while back. I just pulled off a wheel to clean grease off my Front arms, and happened to notice that the spring in my hose compressed itself in the upper section of the hose...AGAIN. It is kind of a pain in the A$$ to stretch the thing out...losing coolant every time.

My basic question is: Is that thing really necessary? The Roe lower hose seems to have much stiffer walls than that of stock, so is there even any point to it anymore?

Hi Dan,
The silicone hoses we have made are thicker and have stiffer walls. The spring is not necessary and we have seen no collapsing or problems in several years of use. The stock rubber ones get very soft when hot.
Regards,
Sean

Same as above...we have Roe Racing hoses on 4 of ours..NO problems at all ( have inspected them all many times on the lift). Sean's hose sets (Gen I or Gen II)are a "MUST HAVE" addition in my opinion!!!
