Michael,

You may want to check the archives of this board...click on "search" at the top of the screen and type in seat lowering kit. I found a lot of info there.

Michael,

I have ordered (last week) the 1" seat lowering kit for my 98 RT/10 and hope to receive it this week with installation over the weekend. With this, accompanied by a clutch pedal kit from Sean Roe to help with steering wheel to leg clearance, I hope to solve my Viper ergonomic issues.

If my results are any different to what has already been posted, I will let you know ...

I seem to recall seeing set lowering kits at different venues; however, can only find one in the 'accessories' list. Northwind offers a 1" kit witch retains adjustability. Feedback on this product would be appreciated... ease of installation, usability, satisfaction, etc.

Thanks

Michael:

I installed one of the 1 inch kits from Northwind and I am very happy with the results. The product quality is very good (which far exceeds the factory quality). The instructions are a bit vague and not as easy to understand as I would prefer.

I would strongly recommend that you install the loosely assembled bracket onto the seat (before tightening anything down). Once you do this, it is easier to align all of the holes and tighten everything down.

I don't think that there are any other alternatives for this type of product, but it's worth it (especially if you are doing some track time and you need to accomodate a helmet). I'm 6'2" and very long in the torso. Feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

Good luck and Happy New Years.

Brad
