I am looking to sell my viper model collection and would like some suggestions on where I should sell them. I have about 290 models and many of them are rare including the tyco remote control tv show viper. I have many 1:18 and 1:24 scale models, a 1:12, and a few hundred hot wheels and matchbox vipers. I would love to sell them all as a collection, but it isn't a must. Any help on where to sell my collection would be much appreciated. Thanks.

A picture is worth 1000 words, in you case, some pictures may be worth 1000 dollars......do your best to picture and catalog and post it up.

I am open to offers for the entire collection because I haven't individually priced the models yet. I will try to get some pics up of the ones I have for sale.

Unfortunately I don't have a 1:12 gen v model. I just have the 1:12 green gen 1 model by anson.

I'll give you $50 for that one - $75 if you still have the box.

Not to be rude, but you might as well be asking "whats the value of
air" when it comes to things like this.

"About 290" doesn't help. The problem is a super-rare diecast is only as
valuable as the condition of its packaging. You may have a 1of1 hotwheels,
in the box its worth $30, out its worth $3. Without a VERY detailed catalog
with VERY good photos I am sorry to say your collection is worthless to the
online buyer.

My advice - if you want to unload it quick as a package deal then pick a number
your happy with and post it here -OR- if you want to try to get your investment
back take the time to inventory the collection and list it. As for "where" to list
if youre not a professional collector here and ebay are pretty much your best
bets - there are collector sites out there but if you think we're being picky about
details I promise those guys will nit-pick every detail (and then lowball you Gas
Monkey style...)

Give an estimate as to what you would take for the entire collection. That will immediately separate the tookers from the lookers.

That's very good advice. I really appreciate it. I think I still have the box. I will check tonight after I get home from work.

Thank you. I started collecting them when I was about 7. The dodge viper was my dream car so I put model vipers all around me in order to stay focused on the ultimate goal of owning the real thing.

I checked and I do have the original box for the green 1:12 viper model. If you send me your zip code I can get a quote on the shipping costs for the viper. Thanks.
