Sequential Transmission

The price I had on a sequential is under 11K. It will handle alot more than that as the Oreca Vipers were around 780 HP. Gearing can be changed in them. If its road racing times we are talking about, learn to left foot brake, and shift without the clutch. Once learned, it is faster and rather easy, ONCE LEARNED THAT IS!

Your car must be a dedicated track car, because none of the sequential transmissions are synchromeshed (they are all dog engagement transmissions). This makes them very impractical for street use.

The manufacturers of these transmissions include:

Quaife

Hewland Engineering

Hewland does make a paddle shifter add-on that costs quite a bit of $$$.

We have been investigating this for our own business venture for a street application. So far, we have not found a sequential system that is sychro'd.

how about a automatic with a badass shift kit installed?
Those'll shift faster than anything around. I've had my share of older vettes w/ those TH-400's and throwing in a NICE shift kit and using the "stick" to pop it into gears was.... FUN!
