I think MIKE sells Roe Too, so call him EITHER way.

Hijackers, I think those are bad things.

ANYWAY THE POINT IN MY RESPONSE (wasnt to bust Tony's Ball Bearings), PAXTON IS HAVING A BOOST YOUR WALLET REBATE !@!

BUT YOU MUST BUY THE SUPER CHARGER BY 12/31/2003, so I have qualified for it, and if Mike can get the order placed by then YOU ALL WILL TOO.. So take whatever price MIKE gives you and SUBTRACT $100 from it (after you mail in your rebate you will get $100 back).

Hi Jon, My southern buddy   Hijackers good  Ok....how about I will be Mikes southern Paxton installer :) With a Roe (or Paxton) where possible, my suggestion would be purchase and deal with your nearest installer/retailer if there is one near you.

Yeah, I kinda agree, but I am doing my install myself, so overall COST is the major factor. Cheapest price wins, as LONG as they are reputable, and I KNOW Mike is, as I have bought from him in the past.

Good to know if I need a hand, I have 2 relatively local guys to help out. I think there is also one in charlotte too, the guy who did blowgts's car. Good to see the south has some quality modders near me !! :-D

Paxton has not answered even one of my "specific" questions about their product. Go figure  ? Maybe I'm just asking questions that are too personal?

Where things really got  scary was when I heard (a rumor?) that you have to permanently remove the front frame cross-member to make room for the thing...

On the other hand, maybe it's a good thing for me to just keep putting it off 'till I see what I'm looking for.

Guess I'm just too picky :p

AB- not what I heard... In fact I heard it was a cause for alarm with the Paxton setup, and they are attempting to remedy the problem. I am fairly sure I read that on this board as a matter of fact, someone was doing an evaluation on the system or something...

They replace the cross member with an adjustable one. It is as stong as the factory one and if you ever pull the blower off the factory one can go right back in. To go back stock all you need to do is plug the drain hole for the blower in the oil pan.

The system on my car has more than impressed me. Stay tuned for my new numbers as I drop one pulley smaller.

I've mentioned previously that if the new Paxton cross member uses rod ends on each end as it appears in the photos, then it can't be as solid as the OEM unit.

Those with closer first hand knowledge say it's not a problem, but a crossmember with rod ends would only allow the frame to twist as a linked pair pivoting at the rod end bolts instead of boxing the frame as the OEM unit does.

I haven't seen one up close though.. so it's just a hunch. They sure look like rod ends on there from here..

Even so, the Paxton system seems to put down a better number on the newer cars than some other choices, and the older cars even MORE HP is available.

I'm only about 4 hours from Mike Adams..

Maybe next summer :)
