Serpentine Belt...Sure Is Noisy

Mine did the same thing. Use dawn soap to get the grease off..or better yet...put it in your dishwasher and wash it. That's how I got mine to stop whinning. Sounds like a super charger?? It was on my 1994

I recently replaced my serpentine belt with a Goodyear "Gatorback" serpentine belt. It has diagonal channels that run across the inside of the belt making it extemely quiet.
