what a dilemma. the launch with the gts blue and bright white racing stripes screams viper. Shadow blue pearl with stripe delete shows class elegance and is a different kind of beautiful. I like how you can get hyper black venom's and the sepia interior with the latter though and can truly build the car to spec. With teh launch you're stuck with rattler wheels and black interior and cant change a thing about the car it comes as is. Howver, if fortunate enough to get one, the launch will be in hand months faster than the shadow build. The shadow with the upgraded speaker system and above options including delivery and gas guzzler tax is around 15k less than the launch though. but how long will it take me to get sick of loking at bright blue with white stripes? Then again the launch is a numbered car; some may argue that its 10% of teh anticiapted production so its not taht exclusive after all but doesnt that mean that the other 90% of production owners dont have one and isnt that pretty exclusive? these ae the dilemma's i have. what would you do given these 2 choices & why?

If you buy a Launch, there will be 150 copies of your car out there

If you do a custom build, there are 150k combinations of options - so you'll have a unique car.

If you can live with the launch features and price point, you get in one sooner. Guess depends if you want a launch edition or not!

pretty sure i could live with a LE...lmao. and those are valid points. i guess i feel like if 1500 units are produced and there's 8 color choices they're be way more shadows (and every other color) out there than the LE. obviously the colors wont be chosen evenly & the options like wheel choice etc might differ but u see the point. i do think the shadow with sepia is more appropriate for a for an italian exotic type like myself. yet another concern is if delivery is next summer, which I'm told it will be on a build after the order is put in at the February next wave of ordering, then the gallardo replacement will likely be out within a few months from then so maybe if i've waited that long if i just hang in there i'd have the new lambo. i realize i'm all over the place and this isnt really helping matters. since the LE will be here soon, my plan is to see how negotiations go on that one to start things off.

The new Gallardo might have a wait that is pretty long. Hey, why not have both? lol....

Do what my friend did. Pretend one was is for her...lol

Seriously though, I would go with a Viper. The Gallardo successor will be an all new platform and will have some issues more than likely. Secondly, base Gallardos never stack up to a special model that most likely won't be out for a while. Drive the Viper for a while and wait for a SL to come out on the Lambo side. By the time that happens, you should have a ACR model to compare to.

Yeah I'm sure the first year production of new Lambo will have bugs. Guys complained of leaks on 1st year aventador and of fires on the 1st year 458 itslia. Still the gen V is a 1st too so it is similar concern. Maybe I'll just try it and wait til the 2nd year of Lambo; not an SL fan but boy am I a spyder guy and by then they'll have one out. Temping to wait for the new snake vert too on the other hand

Wow, your right. You are all over the place. :)
The shadow blue pearl is definitely something to go with since it already has caught your eye. Will turn heads everywhere you go and you won't get tired of looking at it like LE.

All the talk of color rarity versus values is silly, I guarantee it won't mean a thing in years to come.
Look at the Gen 4's.
There were many, many combinations of 1 of 2, 1 of 3 etc. They were ALL rare.
I think the most common color made was 1 of 23.
My first ACR was 1 of 3, and my second was 1 of 4 and the Nurburgring colored ACR.
Doesn't get much more famous than that. Didn't mean a thing at trade in. Old news.

Get the color YOU want!

How much longer you gonna beat that dead horse? Old news indeed.

The truth can be painful, as I schooled you previously.
I'll bet your car is one of one....So masculine....

I know the Sepia looks phenomenal on the Shadow Blue , and this is going to be an elegant combination that few will likely order as the can't envision it. If they do take the extra steps to look for examples , finding views like this will get folks on board at how rich it will look. Like SADVIPER I think a red interior would pop in a different way, and having seen a Maranello years ago with a very similar combo, it was pretty darn sharp.

In my opinion these will be the special cars as it has been hard to think outside the box, even for some Dealers, when for years we only had 3 choices or so color wise and only until recently any real option on interiors.

Shadow and Sepia = **** friggin Stryker!

Not trying to drum up business for Bill above, but I think he is correct. If you look at the 2001 Dark Blue, there were fairly few of them ever produced. Today people look for them.

Ording one new, before they go away, may be a great option.
