Does the b&m shifter give a better shift compared to just putting a first strike shift knob on a stock shifter???

The B&M is great... I have the knob and shifter... like Iceman said, it's a shorter shift, alot smoother IMO also... you'll definitely see the difference.

A middle step you can take is to remove the stock shifter shaft which has some movement in it due to an isolation bushing and replace it with a solid SS shaft. It will also allow you to adjust the height lower than with just the MGW knob alone. If you go with a full shifter mechanism like the B&M, you might also checkout the SVS setup at the following link.

Just bought the SVS rod...highly recommend trying this first with a MGW knob. Much cheaper and HUUUUGE difference.
