Side Sill Corrosion TSB Dodge Thinks I\'m A Pion

Well since Dodge said they would not fix my side sill corrosion, I have to go to plan B (let's just say I am gathering all the info I can

). I tried to get a copy of the TSB (23-59-97) from a dodge dealer here... they would not give me one. Said it was against the rules... yea right. Is there anyone who can give me a copy???

Thanks!

Ron

JonB, I too need a copy of that side sill TSB please, also is there a TSB for scabby corroded '97 wheels and gas cap? (Ron, I have even more of a battle over here with Chrysler UK! But, good luck)

I have now talked to RonC at length and I am APPALLED at how the Arizona Zone/District is handling this case! The Viper is the flagship of the Company and should be treated as such! There are so few Vipers in comparison to the amount of vehicles that DC produces [UK INCLUDED].
Most Viper owners own other DC products, and the best business is word of MOUTH! You know your stocks aren't doing as well as they could, so you could use all the help you can get!
"In my opinion I think you [DC] should step up to the plate!! Just think of the revenue you will generate from this one act!"

If there's a fence climb over it.
If there's a wall knock it down.

So here is just a little snippet from yesterday...

Me: So it says here on a printout from YOU that I have a 7/100 warranty on corrosion.

DC: But that part is not covered under the warranty. Only external body parts are covered.

Me: It is an external body part.

DC: No it is'nt. If it was a fender or something then it would be a covered part.

Me: The rest of the car is FIBERGLASS, it can't corrode!

DC: This is not considered an external body part.

Me: Ok...If it is attached to the outside of the car and I can see it externally it is an external body part!

DC: Nope..

That was only the begining of a glorious end of a three month battle with DC to simply fix my "corrosion feature" of my side sills.

This went on for I don't know how lon

There is a labor operation number that goes with every warranty repair. The TSB has a specific labor op. If they run the labor op # with your vin, it should show that it's covered under the TSB. Call me with your complete vin, exact mileage and your last name and I'll check it for you.dj

OK ! My '94 w/17,000 miles has two or three blisters
starting to eat through my right sill cover. Not near the
rivets as I have seen discussed, but on the outside face.
I suspect that it is caused by moisture being trapped between
the insulation and the inside of the sill plate. Should this be covered by Dodge ? If so, how do I proceed with my claim ?
Thanks for any help.

Robert, The original warranty [94R/T] on Perforation [corrosion] is or was 84 months or 100,000 miles. Check your in service date. If it is still running [warranty] in my opinion it should be covered [repaired or replaced]! You'll have to talk to your Dealer/Viper Tech to find out what they can do for you.Good Luck!
