So after giving up on getting a set of ACR BBS's, I went with the GenV Sidewinder II's. Bought them off of Jon at Partsrack, Great guy to deal with.
So after the long wait, they arrived yesterday. Just mounted Pilot Super Sports and took them out for a run for the first time. I must say, these in Hyper Black are the way to go on a red Viper. Simply stunning in person from every angle. I will never regret skipping the BBS's. These simply update the entire car to the 21st century. I would have done it a long time ago, but, well, they simply didn't exist a long time ago. The color hides brake dust better than any other stock rim. I am just blown away by how much it updated the look of the whole car.

I was worried about the front offset being noticeable, but with 275's, they don't stick out the side at all. Looks totally correct. The other great thing about these is how freakin' lightweight these are. I could literally pick up the rears with one hand. The suspension reacts quicker and the ride is improved. The 345's also hook great. The best upgrade I have done so far. I'm waiting for the center caps to come in. Take a Look...

I remember when I first saw the Gen5 Venom wheels, I thought they were the hottest wheels when they came out, and that the Sidewinders looked like a ricey joke. Now, I honestly must say that the Venoms look plain and that the Sidewinders are looking pretty amazing.

I find interesting the choice of 275/345 rubber instead of the 295/355. I did see a set of Venom wheels with the latter, and they did look a little too far outside the fender for me. But with the thinner rubber, you're saying it matches up pretty nicely? Do you have any head on pictures?

Overall, those wheels look amazing on your GTS.

Excellent choice. Very tastefully done and they look like the perfect edition to a classic GTS.

Can you get Sneaky Pete centers or is the only choice the Stryker ones?

Does anyone have the black sidewinder II's on a Gen 2 yet? Or does anyone have the original sidewinder in black on their Gen 2's? Would love to see some pics.

Seriously thinking about those wheels now!!! And the fact that I wouldn't have to ever polish my " non clear coated" after market wheels anymore!! That would be great!

Those look great! However, I still like the original BBS ACR rims. Was a toss up between Sidewinder IIs and the BBS for my 1996 RT/10. Wanted the double take look as opposed to a that car has custom rims look. They do look good on your car however. Congrats!

I like them, and almost ordered a set. But, I started seeing them on all kinds of other makes and models of cars in car mags. These are now even appearing on Rice Burners. I'd hate to stop at a controlled intersection, only to have a Rice Burner pull up next to me, sporting the very same type of wheels. So I passed.

But they look great. !!! And your car looks great with them on it. Congratulations and enjoy.

Anybody ever seen the hyper black sidewinder 2's on a graphite car? Thinking about getting a set but would love to see first.
