I am sure some one has been through this once or twice but I wish to change out my exhaust on my Yellow 2002 RT10.

I would like to know who sells the freest flowing exhaust but is also more on the quiet side. As it is the car attracts enough attention and I don’t need any more attention from the Mounties up here in Canada every time I put my foot into. It is ok when they see me but when they can hear me first and then see me that is when the problems start.

I realize and can handle it a little louder but not so much that it becomes a problem when I put my foot into it.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Tim

Tim-

Do you want to retain the stock cats, or remove them? From a power perspective I would remove them, run an O2 simm, and full 3" exhaust all the way back. Corsa, Borla, and even Mopar make great flowing exhaust systems. Most peoples choice is all sound dependant. Run a couple resonators in place of the cats to keep it super quiet. One thing, all the exhaust systems use straight thru mufflers so overall flow will be relatively similar (depending if they retain the X-pipe or not).

Just avoid this Atro guy at all costs, he's an absolute joke and has no real understanding of what he's trying to sell.

Rouge, When you make a comment like that you are really showing your ignorance. You do not know me, have never met me, and have not spoken with me in your whole life so to make such a comment is just as wrong as what I did regarding exhaust sims .Everybody makes mistakes, I am far from perfect, and I am man enough to admit that I screwed up when discussing the sims that take the place of O2 sensors and I am sorry. I had never heard of them before, we never used them in NASCAR.I was wrong to call them "Snake Oil" as I have been educated in there use and there are people using them successfully. But to say I do not know what I am doing in my field is slanderous and just as wrong as me calling sims snake oil. I have never felt that it is right to recommend a product that I have never heard of or have tried personally as we all know there are a lot of snake oil products out there like that ECM add on module that some guy on eBay was selling awhile ago. I do not know of anyone, except god, who is perfect and knows everything that is out there on the market in the performance world today. We have many happy customers who have bought our exhaust products, along with other products, and they do not feel they have been ripped off as they feel they received a high quality product. If there is any doubt in anyone's mind as to the quality of our products or our before and after sales support you need to go no further then these to post from two customers that bought our exhaust systems.

We have been in business since 1979 and have a perfect record with the Better Business Bureau. Again I am not perfect but I must have done something right during 27 years in business with with the 2500 customers that I have.

Again I am sorry, and apologize, for coming on as strong as I did but I am as passionate about vipers as the rest of you.

My 94 RT10 had no Cats and the smell of the fuel was annoying at best. I will dump the factory Cat’s and run who ever has the freest flowing Cats. Now if it smelled like Av Gas then the Sims would be easy but I am hearing there is only a couple of HP difference between no Cats and a good high flow Cat so Cats it will probably be.

With the old 2.5” Corsa from what I can remember it did not free up much for power. The 3” is supposed to but I don’t know anyone that can verify that except with the dyno chart on the Corsa site.

Bellenger dose sound nice but I think it will be way too noisy for what I’m looking for.

There is the post on the Random Tech Exhaust and it does not sound that bad. I am not sure what mufflers they are using. Has anyone done a dyno on this set up and can vouch on what they think it really sounds like on the road and if it has the drone at cruising speeds?

Yes probably a nice long or 2 shorter straight through mufflers on each side is the way to go with high flow Cats.

Now the X pipe is still kind of in question. The X pipe is interesting as it is a long ways from the engine yet does it actually increase the power or does it help smooth out the sound of the V10?

Hi Tim

I may be wrong about this, and I am sure that even if I am correct I will be told I am wrong, but Randon Technology makes cats only for the viper. I do not believe they make a complete exhaust system for the viper, but then again I may be wrong. here is the web site for Random Technology:

http://www.randomtechnology.com/chrysler.html

As I am sure I will be yelled at here if I mention our exhaust systems all I will say is please feel free to call me anytime and I will discuss with you at length the merits of all the different systems that are availble so you can make an informed choice.
