These sill bolts are really cadmium plated versions of the same thing. It does not really protect from the corrosion, the cadmium becomes the sacrificial metal and it corrodes instead. And they're sheet metal screws, so a few easy turns and they're replaced. The only hard part would be lining up the holes for the new ones. For the few dollars that the bag of six or eight screws cost, it's probably not worth your time to wait to have it serviced, IMO.

I have a 95 and the original bolts are black. The new ones are coated and are more of a silver.

Mine weren't looking good so I replaced all of them. They were only a dollar or so each so I didn't consider wasting the time waiting for them to do it.

If you do it though, you should consider replacing all of them. About 9 more on each side hold on the sills.

1. Order from Chuck
2. Remove one at a time, remove old, take qtip dipped in solvent to clean any corrosion around hole (maybe others can help here with what to use), squirt a little high temp low strength sealant(can find at any parts store) on threads of new screw, install. Do not over tighten.
3. Screws are on top that you see, under sill (I think 4) and under the 4 round plastic covers on top of sill when you open door. Take two credit cards and slide them under each side, squeeze together and you'll see how it pops out.
