i have an 08 with the factory rb1, sirius ready. i called sirius to get their service but the radio wont take the download. nothing happens. i gave them the correct ESN, but nothing downloads. i have the stereo set to the satellite mode while trying this...
all i can think of is there is no antenna hooked to the radio for sirius.
does dodge sell these as satellite ready only for the customer to have to pull the unit out and install an antenna?
what gives?
did i miss something?
thanks for any help

Not sure but if its factory radio it comes with everything needed to have siri
You do though i believe have to have the radio on and car outside where it can pick uo signal when u call to activate it.
Shoot the siri should be playing advertisments with out even having it hooked up

When I got My '08 the Sirius was still a active. I had it on in my garage so being in the garage should not be an issue. On my vert the antenna is on the trunk lid.

I get channel 184 on my screen along with a scrolling message to call sirius for subscription service.
I did, and I put the car in an unobstructed path to the sky.
I have them send the download and nothing. No change to the screen, nothing.
I don't get any sound (i believe I should hear the weather channel) but nothing.
once it scrolled "no signal" but only once.
I kinda believe if the antenna is back there it has jiggled loose.
I've reconfirmed the ESN of the radio and had them send me the activation 3 times.
if it's not a case of a missing or jiggled loose antenna, I'm at a loss.
thanks
