skip shift eliminator

Has anyone used this skip shift eliminator. I have the two connector type. would this style work the same?

I endedup using the one shown in the illustrated upgrades. It's nor cheap, $59.95, but neither is your Viper. It works like a charm and nothing is left exposed to the elements. Before I got it, I bought a cheap skip-shift rig on ebay (a resistor) for about $6.95, and it would have had me tape over an otherwise exposed electrical connection-MICKEY MOUSE-to protect it. The one from northwind is plugged inline (at both ends) leaving nothing exposed. Maybe you get what you pay for, you know?

Does this affect gen 3's? I've never had either of my gen 3's not allow me into gear, only the notchy shifting into 2nd.
