Smart Glass Problem

I have an '06 roadster that is having a problem with the driver's side window. It will go up and down but on the up cycle, the window rolls up all the way until you hear a ratcheting sound, then stops. At this poiint, the window is too high for me to close the door. Another problem I uncovered was that when you open/close the door, the window does not drop a little to ease the opening/closing of the door. I searched this forum and the newest post I found was dated 2010 but the OP never came back to say what was repaired. I am tempted to take it to the Dodge dealership but just know how fragile these door panels are and how heavy-handed the mechanics are. Is this a simple fix like reprogramming the window or something drastic like changing out the BCM or window regulator?

I have a feeling these are the symptoms of the window regulator. Search window regulator on the boards and your should find a ton of threads.
