Hmm, I bought a used 2000 ACR last year from a dealer (Lexus) who while was wonderful to do business with, was not very knowledgable about Vipers. The car had aftermarket headers, pipes and a 3.55 already installed when I bought it. I have had the airbox apart to clean the K&Ns and man, are the smooth tubes thick and extremely rigid. Given the conversation in the other "Smooth tube question..." thread, are the really rigid smooth tubes standard or aftermarket? (And yes I know the ACRs have smooth tubes stock on them.)

Thanks in advance,
Lou

OEM ACR smooth tubes are a bit stiffer than most aftermarket, plus they have a slight bend molded into them vs. the aftermarkets which are generally straight.

Generally speaking, bending the air is less desirable than allowing straight thru flow. But the ever-so-slight (5-degree?) bend of the ACR tubes is no biggie. Not like those 75-degree bend, droop-snoot "Radiator Hot Air Induction" cone intakes.

MSRP on MoPar ACR hoses: $240 !

(vs $79 5-layer silicone)
