Just wanted to hear from other Viper owners that find their favorite ride suddenly restricted to the garage. We've had 2 big storms here and it'll be spring before the Snake comes alive. I'm keeping the battery tender on it and plan to back it out to keep the lube working and let it warm up thoroughly, give it a couple of bursts and bring it back in. Doing this 3or4 times a month instead of the total winter prep. AT :p

Same here. We actually got snow today. There is no storm sewers or drainage out where I live so when it rains the water remains. Takes about a week to be fully dry so the snake has been resting for quite awhile now.

I actually wanted to take it out and do some donuts but my common sense unfortunately got to me. ;)

No need to run it that often.Of course you put it away with fresh fluids, stabil, etc.I run mine every 3-4 weeks for 30 minutes.Run the heater/ac/move it around.Find something to clean and Leave the charger on it till its all the way up.GTS Bruce

Put my viper away in November. Soon after that the roads were white with salt. She won't be out until spring now. I went through the entire winter prep. Even fogged the engine. Can't wait until spring! :2tu:

Hello everyone. First post here; I just signed up on Tuesday. Still working on getting some more photos uploaded.

Since I live in western PA, my GTS is away until March or April. What do you guys usually do before putting it away? I see some items above, but what else? Here is what I could take from above:

Fresh oil/filter
Keep the battery charged
Run every few weeks inc. heat and a/c
Fuel stabalizer

What else?

Thanks!

I think someone else mentioned it. This is an excellent oppertunity to get it off the ground, pull the tires and clean. While there lube it. Also consider the differential fluid, I would go with a synthetic. You do not want to waste the summer months doing this stuff when you could be driving! I plan on spending all day Sat on the underside of mine. I just bought it so planning on plenty of time not knowing what I may find. Based on what I found in the side sills when I did my exhasut I think I am going to be busy!

Also keep your tank relativly full, this will reduce the chance of condensation in the tank.

Thanks! Besides the Steelers game on Saturday, my weekend is free. I'm planning on doing the exhaust over the winter so maybe I'll get ready for that now by getting it off the ground and start cleaning. Let me know how yours goes or if you find anything you want to share!
