Sneak Peak at Redenuff93\'s Diamondback Viper

Last night I got to see Lauri's 93 viper again after a 6 month rebuild, and Roe Super Charger addition. All I can say is WOW, this car is **** and definitely one of the best looking Gen I's in the country!
For starters the Diamondback hood is just out of this world beautiful and mean looking. The lines from in the car and even while in the car driving are just awesome. Cudo's to Roger for one awesome hood! :2tu:

Most of all the best feature of this wicked old Gen I is under the hood. The Polished Roe Supercharger and other detail work under the hood, make for the best looking viper engine bay I have yet to see.

I got to take it out for a spin on the local highway and man is this car fast! I was very impressed by the responsiveness of the screw supercharger in any gear at any RPM. It reminded me of my 95 with nitrous all the time :nana:
Definitely gave me an appreciation for the Roe Supercharger and how cool it is for us guys that want moderate power gains without breaking the bank.
I see a Roe Supercharger in the future for my heads, cam Gen I. Definitely got me hooked and will accomplish what I would like it to. Lauri, thanks for the thrill and letting me take it for a spin. + Angela will be thanking you for getting me hooked and wanting one to. :D

Great Job Lauri, Dansauto and Roger for collectively building one very sweet Gen I.

Here are a couple of sneak peeks at the car. I think Lauri will post some better ones later, as soon as he details her all up.

Quick question: Is the only difference to the hood the vents, or are the curves more aggressive as well?

Curves on the fenders and the center of the hood are more aggressive and pronounced. I had it sitting next to my wife's GTS last night and when looking at them side by side you can really tell.

Also the NACA duct is slightly larger and molded in. I think Roger will do it how ever the customer wants.

Re: Sneak Peak at Redenuff93\'s Diamondback Viper

I will say that this hood is one of the best pcs of ahnd made aftermarket fiberglass I have ever used. It beats the Elite hood 100% It is reinforced like the stock hood underneth. It was very smooth (not wavy) and only needed minor prep work before paint. This guy knows his stuff!!! If you are looking for a new hood give him a call he can modify these to your liking and the price is right!!!!

Can someone put up more info on the hood?

Is this a company that does it? or some guy?

Do you ship him your stock hood and it comes back like that? pricing? etc.

any info would help

thanks!

Thanks for the info. I'd be very interested in just a smooth hood (with NACA duct) but with thouse aggressive curves. Looks sweet! Any other pictures?

With the new exaggerated curves in the hood, is there more clearance available now?

Love the front facia as well.

Re: Sneak Peak at Redenuff93\'s Diamondback Viper

Thanks guys, It has been a long 6 months to wait the car to be "fabricated" and repaired. Its back now and stronger than ever. I even fried the clutch last night, I quess the 42.000 miles was enough and did not like the roe's 8 lbs pulley. The car runs like a ***** monkey!

Since the cat is out of the bag, here's some info:

USEXOTICS made the Diamond back hood. It's one off, serial #1. Roger will be happy to make more if someone wants. You can contact Roger at: [email protected]
Roger can correct me, but the hood price is $6500. Not necessary cheap, but it sure is fantastic quality.
Roger is located in Gettysburg, PA. He HAND lays the fiberglass, sheet by sheet, no sprayed crap.

Hood is raised 2" in the middle, both fenders are raised 2". Louvers added as well as smooth, molded NACA duct. There is more clearance.

Engine pictures? Here's one:

I*'ll put up some more pictures once I get some nice ones. I have a photoshoot on Sunday.

Lauri
