The Daytona rolled out of our garage today, and we bid it a fond farewell. I realized this evening that I'm momentarily Viperless

until my DLM car arrives back at the end of the month. My wife's new SRT is still months away

I'll just have to live vicariously through all y'all to make it through these next couple weeks. Anyone got any good stories? I understand Doug buzzed a couple of Viper club officers last night in my yellow beastie?

Ben, that was fast, what did you do give it away?

Here's a picture of your Yellow Beast you've never seen. Thats my red one and Marv Rose's yellow wheels.

Yow -- your red car looks great, Brad! What gathering was that?

With the Daytona, I actually got a very good deal from my buddy Bill Pemberton over at Woodhouse. He kept talking about my "bulk discount" or some such thing

It's good to see my yellow car again; I saw it in person at VOI, and I am champing at the bit to get it back, but Doug's almost done and you don't rush an artist. People who've ridden in it recently say it's some combination of [insane, dangerous, beyond description, too fast for the street, crazy], and I've promised Doug I'll call him when I first take it on the road so he can hear my reaction. Apparently it goes sideways in 3rd if you roll into the throttle

I'm sure when it arrives back I'll forget all about the Daytona.

Hey David -- ya, I can't wait. Doug's got the monster up to 14 lbs of boost (!!) which with heads + cam is going to be low-mid 800s RWHP if the math works. Then add a sizeable NOS shot starting in 3rd gear - I told him "as long as it ends up over 1000 RWHP I'm happy"

I've done about 40 of the videos so far... it's slow going. Here's one of you going "solo": http://www.treynor.com/RedSCGTS-Solo.wmv . From watching it, I'd say with more aggressive shifting and a little more launch practice you'll be in the low 10s and over 140...

Not really. Tonight a couple of drunk 130lbs kids driving a fart can kept on me about racing. Busy street, prime time. What dumbshets. They're the ones that give car people a bad name.

That's the only story I can relay without being banned.

It was the Zone Rendezvous (sic) in Monterey

Good luck with the monster, I want to be in Sacramento when you try it out, make sure and post when your going.
