Some preliminary pics of damage. Doesn\'t look good.

I got the Viper home on the rack. Here's a few pics. Damn my stomach went sour!

The frame is definitely bent on the lower and top rail. Looks like damage is going to be way over $50K and still going up. Really *****! Just a few pics for now. I will post more when this all settles with the insurance company. There's a lot of damage you can't see underneath.

Those pics just kill me. I can't even come close to imagining how you must feel. I wish you the best of luck.

Adam, an awful experience and needs time for the shock to settle. However from what I can see of the front damage, I have been involved in the repair of an equally if not worse frontal damaged GTS. It was a lot of time and work, involved a new chassis front section, a lot of parts and and a fair bit of money......but it is repaired, needed a minimal amount of jigging on the main chassis, the new welds are better than standard and the car runs true and is competitive. There is hope.

Ab,
Yes, front frame more than likely both sides. Rear frame is thicker and may not be bent. Sad part is that the insurance will probably total it out, due to the cost of new hood and new frame. I think the list for the hood is around $13k,frame front $10k, rear bumper $11k.
IT CAN BE REPAIRED.....and like was mentioned may be better than before...

There's more frame damage, but didn't take pics. Fram is bent on upper front rail and lower ...

ab, the front frame section is replaced as a whole. both sides and is welded at the "V" by the point where the flywheel is. This is what I had to do, and it handled upper/lower all in one shot. check with X2 collision to see if they have a frame available.

Your looking at a 40k repair bill at least. See if you can buy the car back after they total it, the parts you have on it will be worth selling along with the motor/rear end/etc...

i was thinking the same thing. i would find a way to get the good stuff off the car like the supercharger, etc.. then depending on what they sell you the car for, it might be worth buying then parting out. If you had a stock GTS, it probably wouldn't be worth the hassle, but your car isnt stock - you have alot of extra money in that car. how is the motor / intercooler / supercharger / etc?

holy crap man. could've been much worse...you or others could of been hurt.its a damn fine car! But just a car.I was almost killed in a motorcycle accident in 2000.STILL WAITING on my money...By May I think..getting a viper.

Please do not take my post the wrong way...but a car can be replaced.DEALING WITH INSURANCE IS THE WORST THING EVER.STATE FARM ***** TOO.
