I don't know if I should mention this or not... but if I can't speak truthfully, then there's not much point to this forum.

I just purchased a '01 RT/10 with 46,000 miles on it. No S/C but the moter was just rebuilt (ported & polished heads), new clutch, fresh paint, clean Carfax and I paid $32K. I have seen many many '01 Vipers offered for below $40K (in various conditions). They, of course, don't have all the GREAT mods you've got but they are available. My guess is that a dealer will offer you between $30-35K. Just my feeling in the current market.

I am not sure you can compare the car you bought to the one being sold in this thread. I am not sure that "fresh paint" is a good selling point on an 01. Why does an 01 need fresh paint? That sounds like an accident fix to me.

Good luck with the sale, that is a great price. I would have Chuck pull the blower and sell it seperate.

Paint color changed from yellow to black! I love it! Carfax is clean and no physical evidence of accident. I suppose on the surface some might avoid this car since it isn't original... but with everyone modifying engines/exhaust/brakes/stereos... why not modify the paint?

Of course, there is no good comparision with City's blown '01 RT/10... my point (which might have been overlooked) is that current market values are WAY down. That's all.

I would agree with the others to pull the blower and trade it!

Well I do have some doubt as to the way cars are bought at Barrett-Jackson, an all original '96 B/W GTS with 12K miles sold for $50,000 at Scottsdale this year.:dunno:

I can say that while I am in the market for a Viper it's hard to find used cars that aren't either beat to death or trailer queens. I mean no offense to anyone but the dealers seem to have slightly better pricing due to the fact that they can take the emotion out of the sale. Let's face it, most current owners are extremely passionate about their car. Why would someone want to underprice their pride and joy? As a prospective buyer I would love it if prices became a little more realistic. As an owner I would absolutely hate the way prices are going now.

I do think that with high gas prices, a slowing economy, and '08's hitting the showroom floor prices will inevitably drop.

Just my $.02.

CitySnake: If I wasn't looking for a GTS at the moment I would be all over your car.

id take the blower off and trade it in if nothing else works out for ya.

very nice car and a good price too!

Hey Putz... you cant get any more pm's because your maxed out it says. (Thats probably working for you in this case).

But I was going to ask how things are going, and if you ended up selling your Viper? I messaged your boyfriend David a few weeks back, and he claims he's going to be selling his cobra and buying an 08.. :rolaugh:
