Speaker Location-VGX

Andy, if I remember right, the speaker location on the doors where much higher. I remember looking into the passenger side and being able to see them even with a passenger in the car.

I know space limitations will affect the location of the door speakers in the VGX but has anyone noticed where they are in the doors? I find that my left leg blocks the sound from the drivers door speaker and the passengers right leg does the same.
Any chance the new Gen will improve this to allow the sound to travel without being blocked?
