I have an 03 srt-viper that has way to much bass drone. Does any other 03-04 viper owners experience this drone. I turn the bass all the way down because it just ruins the music. Another question that i have is the the rear speakers that are along side the roll bars. It sounds like thier is a air-conditioning vent right over my shoulder. I called Woodhouse vipers and got rick maxwell on the phone to check with thier vipers.... He said he heard the same noise i was talking about

Anybody have this....

Not enough bass in mine :D but yeah, when I have the a/c on recirc (the last two settings on the dial to the left) I do hear forced-air coming in from over my left shoulder and my wife reported the same over her right shoulder. I've also noticed that the convertible top crossbar directly above my head gets really cold when the a/c is on (recirc setting). I have looked for some a/c ports but have come up empty unless they travel under the car or near the exhaust sills. I do know they don't travel through the doors or the windshields a-pillar. At first I thought the top was leaking when I heard the air rushing in until it was still doing it at a stoplight

I don't remember any ac vents when I had my car apart putting in the rollbar...sorry, brain cells going. Anyway, it is very easy to take the panel off and check, just move the seat up and find the screws. Only take a few minutes. You never know what you might find.

I think the air noise you hear with the a/c on is air leaking from the rear edge of the windows. The blower on full creates positive air pressure in the interior with the top up and the windows closed. The air escapes from the upper rear corners of the side windows in my 03.

That would make sense of why I hear it at a stoplight.
