There's many options available, if you are willing to do a little work. I have a Gen IV convertible. I just finished my install, and will try to get pictures up this weekend. I wanted to keep everything looking stock, and be able to return it to stock. I kept the stock parts, and modified replacement parts (center console and radio trim). There was no cutting to permanent parts, except for the stock sub grill - I installed an 8" JL audio grill, that looks stock, and will remain even if the car goes back to stock (I kept the stock grill and can glue it back in for a seamless look if I really want to). In short, Kicker KS 1" tweeters in the dash, KS65 in the doors, KS35 behind the headrest, and an 8" CompRT in the stock location (custom enclosure), 11IX1000.5 amp under the passenger seat, a Sony WX90GT90BT head unit concealed and face plate ghosted into the center console, to control the Ipad mini in the dash. Everything fits, including the stock vents and stock A/C controls. I lost the cup holder, that's it. Double Din headunits are lacking to me, and look aftermarket (I have several in other vehicles), but is an easier option. I would have liked an Android tablet, they fit better and work better - except the interface with stereo - you need a dedicated DAC, and separate volume control etc. I tried many, many, many options, but this is the best I could come up with.
