Hi all, I am thinking about getting one of these (in matching color). for my 97 b/w. Does anyone here have one or have an opinion on them (positives or negatives)? Also i would really appreciate it if someone that has one could post a few pictures or email them to me at [email protected]

Thanks

They are ugly. Even the matching color ones. Unless it is used for track use I can't see using one, particularly on such a beautiful car like a Viper.

Dirt gets underneath them and they end up scratching the paint anyway.

If you are worried about keeping your nose showroom quality either don't drive it or paint it every 10K.

Otherwise get the 3M clear bra.

The Speed Lingerie Bra was the first $$$ I spent on the Viper when I purchased it a few years ago. I figured that it was better than painted the front end every couple of years. The quality and fit is excellent. Color match (red) is excellent. I have had absolutely no issues with dirt getting caught underneath scratching the paint. Easy to remove and vacume or brush the felt backside clean a couple of times per season or after getting caught in the rain. I would have no reservations about purchasing one again. :2tu:

I have been advised that the front Fascia on our cars is useless after 2 repaints....when it is time #3...needs to be replaced....

I've heard that too but I'd like someone to explain the reasoning. I don't see why the paint couldn't be completely removed down to the rubber (or whatever it is made of) and then painted again.

Even if that is the case, the 3M bra could be applied only to the nose if one wanted to.

Some pics of mine, I love it. I agree with Chuck, I only use it for trackdays or long highway cruises. Looks OK but not for everyday. I have had some dust get under but no issues with scratching....

It's quite subtle in my opinion.

For those of you who have them, how to they fit on? do u have to install poppers to the wheel arches?

The bra comes with a quick mount that fits inside the front of each tire wheel well area. The bra just fits over the mounts...easy on, easy off.

I agree with Chuck on both points. I had the mask and it stored all the dirt and scratched the paint. Besides it looks ugly.

And yeah, drive it. You can't see the front anyway when you drive it. :D

I had one on my steel gray GTS. Worked well except it didn't have a piece for the hood, so rocks could still chip that part. I bought a regular one from partsrack and liked it much better for a 1/4 the price.
