Anyone have trouble keep up with the splash guard/fog light access panels inside the front wheel wells? I had the driver’s side splash guard fall off at the track (VIR) in late February. I notice it was missing almost immediately because my fog light wasn’t working. When I went to investigate, it turned out that a piece of track rubber had blasted through the tiny little gap between the fog light and the front fascia, caught the wire on the back of the fog light and actually unplugged it. I know because the wire was hanging in the wheel well with the chunk of tire rubber still wrapped around it. I plugged the wire back in (the light worked) I ordered a new splash guard ($12, big deal), which I assumed was similarly blasted off from track rubber coming through the front fascia. Then I went back to the track and the damn splash guard came off again! This time, however, a corner worker recovered it for me (after Viper RT(?), Randy, the Carolinas VCA President, ran over it, breaking it in three pieces, thank you very much, Randy, hehe). The splash guard showed lots of rubber marks from inside the wheel well. It looks like a piece of rubber caught and broke the plastic tab holding the piece in. I’ve ordered another one and this time I’m going to cover the tab with duct tape! If that doesn’t work, I’ll just order a six-pack. Anyone else have one or more of these splash guards fall off? Just curious.

Nice meeting you Randy!

I lost one on my first SRT after washing the car. Heard a "clunk" on the way home and noticed the gaping hole when I got there. Happened within two weeks of getting the car. And guess what? The EXACT same thing happened on the 2005. Replaced under warranty both times...

Same here. Passengers side. I now check for tightness when I think about it.

I lost my driver's side in the first few weeks---heard the big clunk on the freeway and wondered what had happened. Figured it out the next time I washed the car. Also wore thru the wire to the foglight. All taken care of under warranty, and no problems for the last 2 years.
