Has anyone tried this in any of their cars?
Springless Valvetrain for pushrod and OHC engines. Claim to boost HP by 10-40% by reducing parasitic loss.

Ducati has a similar concept, it's called desmodronic valve system. I had a Honda 450 DOHC that had springless torsion bars valve system.It's a good idea but requires more time consuming maintenance to set clearences.

Ducatis' claim is that the desmodronic valve system can follow more aggressive cam profiles than would be possible with other valve open/close systems.On a side note,in captivity,the viper seems to tolerate the duc(k).

Greg, You being the "Head Honcho" around here, can you answer a some quick questions:

1. What gains do you see and or advantages do you get with the different after market valve train options?

2. How does the desmodronic valve system compensate for the thermal expansion coefficient of the different metals?

3. In your estimation, could this system really boost HP between 10-40%?
