997S would be a nice choice but at 98K is WAY overpriced IMO. You can easily get very low mileage SRTs for well under 70K which leaves you 30K to get it blown with plenty left over. :D BTW the 997S is a lot faster than a C5 especially from 0-60.

I drive my Viper regularly. In rain and even in snow.
I realize it's a car so I don't freak out about getting
it wet or muddy.

The reputation of being unsuitable for daily driving is
largely untrue. Once you get used to the incredible
torque and learn to respect and even fear it a little,
the car is very manageable and comfortable.

I'm on my way to pick up my 8 year old and drive 100
miles away for the weekend. He won't complain about the
trip at all.

Good luck on your new purchase.

Dirk
You drive your Viper in bad weather??? I hope your kidding...Get a Cavalier or a Neon for a daily driver. Front wheel drive too.

Hey guys, just stopped in to see if there were any more replies and I'm surprised to see that there were.

Without a doubt, I feel that if I had driven the Viper there would be a very good chance that I'd purchase one. I've always joked around that all I need is a big motor and wheels and I'd be 100% happy. I'm kinda weighing that attitude now with quality though. Since the Range Rover purchase has shown me what quality materals are, I didn't know what I've been missing LOL so now I want both. As I mentioned though, I thought the materials in the Viper were fairly high. Especially for a vehicle with such a "raw" reputation.

It's 100% the dealer experience that sealed the deal for me. With my corvette I fought warranty repairs most of the time. The biggest let down though, whenever I took it in for service, it would always be dirty when I picked it up as they didn't wash it. Like most car freaks, my car is cleaner than my kitchen so you can guess how that made me feel. The Dodge dealer just made me fearful of going through that all over again. Thanks again everyone! You have killer car! Terry
