I know an SRT was used in a parade or two by Dodge, but I think we may have a RACE debut this past weekend at SCCA PIR-Portland. I wimped out and brought my Stealth TT Sat/Sun due to the dire forecast, but Tony C showed up mid-day Sunday in his red SRT. Crowd was enthusiastic, as was the announcer. So we parked the Stealth. Race # 2 we had the top down. CornerWorkers applauded! Race #4 was raining so hard that frogs were drowning. You could not see the flags in the corners. I drove that stint and was really impressed. We radio call most turns.....but we called "Lake 8, Lake 11" etc.......
SRT handled perfectly, plowed thru huge standing water, no leaks, QUICK defrost cycles, and best of all that new rear end stays PLANTED ! I did not notice the strange (but effective) Wipers before. And we "noticed" the low-fuel alarm lite and chime for the first time. (Stealth came back out!)
Tony also added the awesome Satin/Red ZAF sill covers (from PartsRack, thanks) to keep us from dragging heels on the red painted sills. Very nice....
