We are currently testing and evaluating several performance upgrades on the SRT 10. We have 3 stages of cylinder head upgrades, 1.7 rocker arms, exhaust headers, side exhaust, camshafts, light flywheels and intake manifolds. We also have a upgrade for those of you who have broken the differential.
We will be dyno testing each of our packages and qualifying the results. We are currently building a SRT for drag racing.
There are several constraints on the new model. The biggest challenge is keeping the system emissions compliant and legal. The biggest restraint is in the exhaust. The new Viper has two Cats that wont work with a good set of headers. You can delete one cat and add headers but it wont be legal and will
be marginal trying to pass a tailpipe test. The intake manifold is really restrictive and we are experimenting with some changes. So far it looks like a
a good set of heads, rocker arms, air fliters and a light flywheel are as much
as you can get through emissions. The misfire monitor on the new model is very sensitve and cam changes are going to be a problem unless you are very conservitive.
For those of you who are not concerned with being technically legal or are going to use your car for racing. There is great power potential, we belive we can get 650hp with our cam, head, computer package.
