What does large fluctuations mean? Most engines have lower oil pressure at idle than at higher rpms. Is this what you are questioning? If so, mine runs about 35 psi at idle and about 70 psi when cruising. I'm currently running Mobil 1 10w30, but will be switching to Mobil 1 15w50. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I am running at 40psi at idle and 80 while driving accelerating. I guess I am paranoid after reading the other issues with the cam bolts.

These numbers sound within specs to me. What type / weight of oil are you using and is this with a warm engine in warm weather? Are you changing the oil every 3000?
