I just received my hardback copy, not the leather-bound, but the hardback that published on 1/15/13.

I have to say, WOW.

Very indepth and detail oriented look at the Gen V Viper. The illustrations are beautiful and it captures all the beauty and hardwork
SRT put into this monster.

It has many reflections of VCA and it's members that really ties owners to this brand.

Very well done, Maurice.

IMHO, everyone needs to buy and read a copy. There will be a quiz

So many insider things: examples; there were leds where there are now vents in the front (cost too much for the leds), the New York Show car is a one off super model built on a Gen IV SRT-10 chassis, the front was squared off a bit for aero purposes, the mirrors are carry overs (ran out of money)(new ones would have cost a million dollars to develop), etc, etc, etc

Get your copy now and learn Sergio's opinion on carrying over the fog lights! Read Sergio saying that the Viper predsentation was one of only three times in his fifteen year career that he paid a lot less attention to the numbers than the "something" that was so beautiful and unique.

It's true. This is a must have book. A lot of history and a true description of the journey to the Gen V. This, according to the book, was not a easy hill to climb. It makes you feel like you are behind the scenes. Very well done.

I wonder, if this is "basically" a highly upgraded Gen IV, will "first year bugs" be limited. I know there are a lot of differences, but I'd assume bigger issues will be virtually limited, but there maybe smaller nags (computer systems, HOPEFULLY NOT WINDOW REGULATORS, etc)

The book is fantastic, and Maurice has done us all proud. He has finished a definitive book that builds on Viper history while revealing Stryker, and in the end one who has a Snake needs to have this on their coffee table at home to educate the masses!

Glad to have added it to my collection, super bummed I missed out on the pre-order version however. If anyone ordered an extra and would like to sell it please let me know. The other 4 I ordered off of Amazon many years ago when I told myself "I will have a Viper before I turn 30"

This books is literally out of this world. It took him over a year to assemble it, and it REALLY shows. We are very fortunate to have something like this, unbelievable access to everything about the G5.

To help educate and thrill the masses, suggest that your local library purchase the book. I submitted a recommendation to the Phoenix library and a copy was ordered within 2 days.

I would love to hear what when on in the discussions about the impact of a transaxel on the styling on the Gen V as reported in the book. The book reports the need for an exemption from the LeMans folks to permit the Viper to use a transaxel in the GTS-R as necessary for proper weight distribution. The exemption was granted and the GTS-R uses a VERY expensive aftermarket unit. Got to remember to put the question to Ralph when the opporunity is there.

Just got the book today - really excited to read it. The development process of a car is fascinating. Ralph Gilles has definitely taken the reigns of Viper, a torch passed on from Lutz/Castaign/Gale/Shelby.

I just finished reading from front to back. It is an incredible read and was emotional at times. Thinking you know a lot about the car dwarfs what the book reveals. Makes one proud to be involved in Viper along with it's history and Future.

Maurice is the man.......I was lucky enough to have had the honor of meeting him at our annual tail of the dragon event and he autographed the dash and under the hood of my new 2009 ACR And to my surprise put a picture of the wing of my ACR On the cover of the SNAKE EYES magazine he also does....he sent me a copy of the magazine......I felt honored that he liked my VIPER enough to do that..I have pictures of him doing that also......he has made the world of VIPER a better place due to his dedication and hard work he has done for us....being a military man, I take my hat off to him and salute him with the utmost respect....VIPER ON MAURICE.....and HAPPY VIPERING to all that have bought and owned these AWESOME Hotrods......we are not just talkin the talk.....we are walking the walk.....:
