Another great day hosted by SRT. Thanks for everything and thanks for keeping us hungry......there is always next time.
I can't speak for all the results, becasue it's not like I wrote it all down, but yes SRT won again with numbers in the 92-97-8 second range (I'm not sure this was influenced too much by the driver training sessions previous to the event lolol), while VCA was lucky to have a couple of below 100 second numbers (Bill P. of course) and the rest was around 100.3 (mine) to I think 104+ seconds. But I have to give it Bobby C from Jersey. The S.O.B. beat me by something like a tenth of a second, coming in 4th and I came in 5th.
So they had 3 cars available, not sure of the years, but two red coupes and one blue convert. I ran most of my sessions in the red and then Chris got me into the blue which we all knew had something done to it, but we were not sure what. I spent my 3 laps playing around with the differences from the other two cars and cutting my time down. Of course wish I had another lap or two to get my time under 100 sec.
But the height of the day was driving the ACR at the end of the day. I don't know what car this was, if it was a stock ACR or had some other work done but it won some events that were mentioned and SRT was nice enough to let us get behind the wheel. All I can say is I thought I would NEVER get rid of my RT/10, but after driving this ACR.....WOW !!! My best time for the day was 100.3 in the other SRT cars. After one lap with this ACR, and taking easy, I ran a 98.1. That car is AMAZING and sticks the harder you push it. If only I didn't have one kid in college and one going in next year....
Steve Katz.....please give me a chance to switch up next year at Pocono with you.
Thanks again,
Andrew
