has anyone heard any news about the production of the stealth viper that was featured on the cover of viper magazine a few months ago?

That car was a show car for the SEMA show in Vegas in 2003. It was basically a SRT with a number of carbon fiber parts and upgraded engine. It was never meant for producton.

Having been a Dodge tech back in '91, putting the words stealth and viper together really frightens me. Thank heaven they are not likely to be built.
