stock cd player works with some cds?

on my 06 vert not all of my new cds will play reads error and some will play noproblem.there all original and not copies or burned.is there a problem with the unit or anyone else expriencing the same.

I had the same problem with some types of 'dual-layer' CDs ... other CDs worked fine

There are different formats for Cd's and not all will work with all players, though rare.

My CD crapped out in June and the dealer had to put in a new unit. It would do the same thing as yours, then it stopped working all together.

Did it stall on any specific track? Songs by Air Supply just won't play in a Viper.

i bought df leapords best hits wont play,other cd no problem.tried it in my other car works fine.very weird
