Those are flex joints, just like the factory units.

More than 30# weight savings

Yes, a street version is available. It is a catback system. Uses 2.5" pipe, instead of 3" and a bell style tip -vs- slant cut straight. Can be bought for just over $500. IIRC, weight savings on the street system is about 20#

There are NO cats on the Race system.

To clarify:

The 3" Race system does not come with cats. However, the Random Tech cat-with-elbow-pipe (available from JonB) fits well with the Race system. You only need to cut off about 4"-5" from the back length of each elbow pipe, and then you have a perfect 3" Race system with cats -- better than the Mopar 2.5" 'Street' system, IMO.

I did this to my 2005, and found I liked the sound better than B&B or Corsa Track, both of which I had tried and removed.

Sounds fantastic. Ditto on the earlier " does it pass emissions" question. Also, did you keep your poppin' ? Thought I heard a few in there. It's part of the Viper's character and I'd like to make sure I don't loose my pops when I change exhaust set up.

I seriously doubt that it would pass ANY emissions check, due to the removal of all 4 cats.

Yes, there is still popping on decel. Only it sounds much better without being chocked down

Those are the same exhaust the comp coupe comes with, mopar recommends you install computer p4510172AB and cam p4510171 with this exhaust. the computer bypasses the skip shift feature and post cats oh2 sensors. The computer and cam are on back order until sometime in September I was told by mopar performance. If you want to install the exhaust system without the computer and not get a check light leave the post oh2 plugged in and route them out of the way. works like a charm!

Hello does anyone know if putting the Mopar full race exhaust system on and leaving the O2 sensors plugged in and safely ******* out of the way will work on the 08s without throwing a code????

I have not done it on an 08 yet! but I would think it would work the same as an 06 . I guess you can try to remove the post oh2 sensor from the 08 exhaust and run it a while and see if it flags any codes (eng.check light)
when I say remove, I mean from pipe not connector. if no codes then your good to go!

Have the Race system bolted to B&B Headers on my car....absolutely love 'em!! Only thing I wish it had was a nice tip, but I understand, it is a "race" exhaust......& that can easily be cured....

Due to the SS side sills being wider than factory, the supplied tip configuration wouldn't work for me. I built my own exit. It is definately UNIQUE ~ with Jeff's sill configuration!
