I just love the looks of a GTS and can't part with them. My car looks stock but has modded engine, exhaust, brakes, suspension etc. Subtle until you know what to look for. However I'm going to add real aero stuff this winter. Was convinced after following some new acrs in the rain by how well they went on slippery tires and the rooster tails they threw off the back. SO.. Yes it will still look like a Viper. An ORECA LEMANS WINNING Viper.(Nose, front splitter, canards, side splitters, rear diffuser and wing). Not an h......viper. GTS Bruce

I think that it will look bad asp. My only concern is will you get tired of looking at it evry day. The GTS looks as is are hard to beat.

Never tired of mine. Besides, being Sapphire Blue the car changes colors everytime the light source changes or moves :)

Heck, I'm not even tired of looking at my 440 Duster - and it's more than 35 years old!

The Autoform fascia is by far the best looking mod for any gen 2 viper, the problem is the price. The parts alone are around 5k, and installation when done right can be just as much if not more.

PICS?

I'm like most Viper owners and don't like any of the custom noses. Not to mention that they scrape constantly.

I dont do pics not trying to convince anyone to buy anything, especially this front end. Just pointing out the fact that his choice is the best you can get.

Oh and the autoform front end is a copy of the Oreca front end.

I really don't like the autoform front end. I just can't get past the stupid lights in the center that breakup the flow of the beautiful curves of the GTS.
I like the SVS front better, but it will be hard to find now.

BTW, I'm going to be making some side splitters for our cars in the next couple months - your choice of carbon fiber or aluminum (painted powder coated black). PM me for more info.

I haven't seen a single aero mod for the gts that doesn't make it look WORSE than the original

That autoform fascia come with or without the extra 2 lights. Your choice. I choose without so instead of a Lemans facia it is really a Daytona fascia. GTS Bruce

Wow, it must have been hard for you to actually admit you were modding the exterior of your car! You were just hammering someone about changing badges......................badges............we don't need no stinking badges! We need Wings and Things!

The parts to be added/modified are oreca/zakspeed used on gen 2 vipersand they really work. Gen 3 badge on a gen VIPER? Might as well put a Fiat sticker on a gen 3-4 car. Anyway I don't have pics. See the autoform site or partsrack. Bruce

HRE wheels and LOWERED are the BEST and only cosmetic mod I have. You'd be suprised on how bad ass, a completely stock viper, with even stock wheels looks after springs and caps if you don't already have it done.

Personally, if I was forced to have a Stock Viper, I'd still change the exhaust. Uncomfortable and 'caution may burn' side sills is obviously a GOVERNMENT requirement and not a design intention.

I used the AF roof scoop also. I had it molded in instead of just fastening it...

:dunno: I agree...

I have had the fascia with the center lights for over three years and still don't like them. I looked into ordering w/o holes.... AF doesn't make the leMans fascia w/o holes. I also looked into filling or covering them over. My "body" guy said that the fascia is a high stress area and there would probably be some "ghost rings" where the holes were. Trying to bond two diferent materials, at that location on the fascia, wasn't a good idea.
So,... all I could do was "darken them....
However.... the holes would be a good place to mount some "hair dryers"...:D:D:D

???? I thought your GTS was Red? Yah, mine's Sapphire/silver

That is one sharp looking Sapphire machine. 2 sets of wheels ... I'm referrential to the shiny ones. Awesome job on the roof scoop. I could never figure a reason for a roof scoop. Racing without ac would be a reason, but I have ac. The hood looks like it's higher than stock over the wheels?

I agree with your bodyman ... there would be ghost lines. Even older/newer fiberglass has some strength/ghosting problems in stress areas. That's the only thing that's kept me from rebuilding my hood into a hoodscooped 08 vented style to incease performance, cooling and downforce. It would also increase the looks factor. Now I just need an 'extra hood' to start 'glassing

Tree,
I love your car!
I like every mod you have done to it, from the looks to the power.
How much is that autoform bumper new?

BTW Ted, the reason his hood looks different is because it is the Diamondback hood ;)

I think this is the fascia you are referring to. You can order this fascia with or without driving lights..

Yah, I saw the vents and knew it was the fglas hood, but it looks higher/different shape was the question.

Treesnake, I just saw your article in Viper Magazine, Spring 09. Bansai? Must be working because I'm jealous.
